CIVILIAN OCCUPATIONS: Farm Hand, General - Prior to entry into the Army worked for three years on his fathers' 72 acre farm in Rawlings, Virginia. Planted, cultivated, and harvested corn, tobacco, hay and vegetables. Drove a two horse team and a wheel - tractor in doing the field work. Also made maintenance repairs on the farm buildings and equipment.
