Started engine and regulated engine speed by controlling supply of gasoline. Regulated voltage output of generator by hand controlled rehostat. Performed maintenance on generator and frequently oiled and greased necessary parts to keep same in good working condition.

CIVILIAN OCCUPATIONS: Furniture Assembler: For 4 months was employed by Wayne Manufacturing Company at Waynesboro, Virginia. Checked parts of steel furniture before assembling them. If found in satisfactory shape parts were assembled by installation of screws, bolts or rivets. Furniture was used on ships, being bolted into place to prevent tipping.
