CIVILIAN OCCUPATIONS: Farmer - Employed 1935 to 1943 by father on a 230 acre farm near Copper Valley, Virginia. Drove 2 horse team in connection with plowing, discing, planting, cultivating, and harvesting. Worked primarily with wheat, corn and tomatoes. Fed and cared for cattle and poultry and did some horse breaking. Repaired fences and outbuildings and preformed various other farm chores.
