For unto a poore ordre forto yeve
Is signe that a man is wel y shryne
For if he yawe he durst make a vaunt
He wist that a man was repentaunt
For many a man so hard is of his hert
He may not wepe al though him sore smert
Therefore in stede of weping and prayeris
