Mass. Broken Stone Co.,

#235 Franklin St., Boston.

Dear Sirs: -

Your favor of June 21st in answer to my inquiry about method of weighing stone is received with thanks, also samples of broken stone the coarser of which I understand to be your No. 1 size, and the finer, a smaller size which I fear contains to much dust to answer here but I can tell better after trial.

Provided you can deliver for immediate use, say before July 4th. several car loads of each size you may send five hundred (500) tons No. 1 blue stone coarse sample sent me, and one hundred (100) tons of the finer blue stone, which I understand you will deliver on the cars on the new side track of the Corporation near the Mt. Auburn station on the Fitchburg R. R. for one dollar and forty cents ($1.40) per ton freight paid.

The Fitchburg R. R. have not notified me that the track was completed, but it appears to be all ready for use.

It is two hundred (200) feet in length so you can judge how many cars you can send at once.

If you send us some to begin on you will probably be able after that to deliver faster than it will be used. If you will send [b]ill with each lot as shipped, it will be paid in the early
