Francis P. Magoun Esq

15 Wall St. New York

Dear Sir - [?From] the fact - I suppose that the Boston Undertaker - did not pay the fee - for the former interment he knew nothing about the matter this time and when we communicated with him he had been paid his bill by your (New York) undertaker - so I send you the bill for interment charges - and as you will see printed on the enclosed bill head - all interment charges are payable in advance - I will regard it as a favor if I may have your check for this bill by return mail - in order that it now may be closed before the month goes out.

Thanking you in advance for which - and hoping your early reply

I am - Very Respf

The lot bought by the late Rev. Arthur Brooks is #5451 on Excelsior path, it is 9 by 20 feet and large enough for six brick graves.

F. H. Page, Esq.,

#88 [?Fulton] St., Boston.

There are 425 feet in lot #2937 standing in the name of Wm. Nagle. If without interments it would be worth about $15.00. the granite curbing is of no value, rather the opposite.

Respectfully yours,

James C. Scorgie Sup'.t

#3087-S.

Mrs. D. N. Spooner,

#341 Boston St., Boston.

Dear Madam: =

Your letter of 24th. inst. sent to our Boston office, has been forwarded here for answer.

There is no key of the tomb here, so that I am unable to examine it, but I understand it is a single compartment tomb without separate catacombs. If such is the case, under our rules a guarantee contract for its perpetual care cannot be made. You can give a donation of a sufficient sum, and the Trustees will keep the principal whole and expend the interest earned, on the lot.

The tomb, the myrtle, and the curbing now there can be removed, without charge, except the old material. The body now in the tomb would in that case be buried in a common gravge in the lot. The other bodies there are in brick graves, if you desire that or a new box, a charge would be made.

If these changes are made, the amount needed for the perpetual care of the lot with guarantee, but without plants will be four hundred and seventy five dollars ($475.00).

Respectfully yours,

James C. Scorgie Sup't.
