At a meeting of the Garden & Cemetery committee of
Mount Auburn, held at the Horticultural Rooms . present, Mess. Bigelow, Bond, Brimmer, Cook,-
Dearborn & Gould. Genl. Dearborn in the chair, & B.A. Gould,
Secy, pro tem -, the following votes were passed.

Secretary

Voted. 1., That a Secretary be appointed to the Garden & Cemetery
Committee who shall keep a record of their doings in a
book provided for that purpose. C. P. Curtis Esq was -
unanimously chosen Secretary.

Treasurer

Voted. 2. That a Treasurer be appointed to the Garden & Cemetery
Committee whose duty it shall be to receive the dues &
make the payments of this Committee, whereupon Geo.
Bond Esq.
was unanimously chosen, Treasurer of this
Committee.

Cemetery Agents.

Voted 3. That a Cemetery agent be appointed, residing in Boston,
and another residing in Cambridge whose duty it shall
be to furnish information & assistance to applicants upon
business. And when it shall be necessary for the agent
to visit the Cemetery, he may charge the applicant fifty
cents for such visit, if the application be in Cambridge
or one dollar & fifty cents if in Boston in addition to
the customary charges for interment in those places.

Exchange of Lots./New Lots Laid Out

Voted. 4. That is any subscriber be not satisfied with the
particular lot which shall have been sold or assigned
to him, he may at any time within six months exchange
the same for any other among the unsold lots, which
are already laid out by the Surveyor. And if he shall
choose to have a new lot surveyed for him on the
unappropriated grounds, the Garden & Cemetery Committee
may if they see fit, assign him such a lot on his
