It was stated by Mr Cheever that it was desirable
to have some suitable person appointed with authority
to preserve the peace in the vicinity of Mount Auburn
Gate, and upon motion by him,

Voted that Mr Bangs be authorized to request
of the Mayor and Alderman of the City of Cambridge
