Further time granted to Comee on Lots _

the Committee had had one meeting, but had
not yet arrived at a satisfactory conclusion; and
he asked for further time.

Upon motion of Mr Cheever,

Voted that further time be allowed. _

Special Police appointed at Gate _

Mr Bangs here came in and reported upon
the subject entrusted to him at the last meeting _ he
had waited upon the Mayor and Aldermen of Cambridge,
and that the Superintendent, the Gate Keeper and
one other person had been accordingly appointed
special policement, without compensation.

And the report was accepted.

Mr Bangs again withdrew.

Memorial of Treasurer of Harv. Coll. referred to Special Comee

Mr Curtis read a letter addressed to him by
Amos A. Lawrence Esq. as Treasurer of Harvard
College
, also a memorial to the Trustees, respecting the
boundaries of the lot in Mount Auburn belonging to
that Corporation. _ to the effect that, by accident, mon-
uments had been placed over the line of said lot
and upon the grounds of the Corporation, and asking
that such action might be taken as would enable the
said Corporation to erect bounds to said lot. ~

Upon motion of Mr Curtis, the subject was
referred to Messrs Gould and Cheever.

Repairs of Chapel [authorized]

Upon motion by Mr Gould,
Voted that the Superintendent be authorized
