"The Committee appointed to receive, assort
and count the votes for Trustees of Mount
Auburn Cemetery have attended to that duty
and report: _

Report of Committee on Ballot for Trustees _

That by reason of the fact
that proxies were represented bearing date
, and other proxies bearing
date Jany. 30th & , and of the further
fact that some persons whose names were on
these proxies were found to have cast votes in
person at the meeting, and that some persons
represented by proxy were present and voted
who did not endorse their names upon their
votes, the Committee found great difficulty
in arriving at the time state of the balloting.

There were also twenty four votes cast by
persons who did not endorse their ballots.

The Committee decided that all votes
cast, although not endorsed, should be counted.

They have carefully, at several sessions,
collated the votes cast, and the proxies bearing
different dates. They have rejected proxies
where the person had executed a proxy of later
date, or where he in person was present at the
meeting and voted.

The execution of a proxy of later date,
and the exercise of the right to vote in person
was deemed to be a cancelling of the earlier
proxy.
