Trustees.

Proposed Donation to Corporation by President

A verbal statement, accompanied by a written com-
munication was made to the Board by the President, both
having reference to a proposed donation by him, upon certain
terms and conditions, to the Proprietors of the Cemetery of Mount
Auburn of a Memorial Work of Art, commemorative of the
great events of our national history during the past ten years.

After hearing the same it was –

Referred to Special Comtee

Voted, – that a Special Committee be appointed by nom-
ination at large to whom the communications of the President
be referred.

And Messrs Rand, Norcross and Livermore were so
appointed.

Appropriation for new Greenhouse at last Meeting, irregularity in;

In connection with the vote adopted at the last
Meeting authorizing the erecton of a new greenhouse at an
expense not exceeding $3000. – the Secretary called the attention
of the Board to Article 14 of the By=Laws providing that "No
appropriation of money exceeding one thousand dollars ^for any one object shall
be made by the Trustees except at a meeting at least seven days
subsequent to the Meeting in which the said appropriation has
been moved, whereof special notice shall have been given."

Mr N. J. Bradlee the mover of the Vote above referred to
then moved that the aforesaid appropriation be made, said
motion to be considered and acted on at a meeting held at least
seven days subsequent to the present one.

Mr Saml Snow's Bill for professonal services as
Counsel for the Corporation in the case of Gardner vs. Props
of the Mt Auburn, having been laid before the
Board, it was
