Dear Sir

Your letter of yesterday is
received. On the 8^th day of July 1873 an order was
left at this office by you for care of the lot with
plants at a total of ^$8.⁰⁰ On the 23^d Sep^t 1873 the order
was made continuous by Mrs. Bailey, hence no circular
was sent you by us this last year. As the money is
due the parties who performed the work, the
Corporation claim payment for work actually done.
Mr OBrien did not take care of the lot.

I send an order in blank in which you can
note just what you want done, and can continue
the order subject to your reversal; in which case
you need pay no attention to any circulars
sent you, as the Corpⁿ will continue to take
such care as you may direct in the order
until forbidden by yourself. If I receive no word from
you the present order remains in force.
