Q. Is Wayman progressing? A. Yes, fast now, for his father's coming has been a great help to him.

Q. Does Wayman have to remain in the spirit world as long as his natural life here would have [been?] ? A. That is not true - the manner of his coming to us, to our vision, is like any other disease and has nothing to do with his spiritual state after he came. His mind was not capable of distinquishing between right & wrong and he has not suffered in consequence of that act.

Q. Can you tell us of [Alice?]?

A. I know of her well, she is a beautiful spirit and is in this heaven.

Q. Has she been with father? A. She was there in the spirit world to welcome him and sometimes now at his strong desire she goes to him, but when he learned that she has her own beautiful home and her own duties, he has not called her again. He is very happy with his own works and his own lessons which those of his own household study together and is intent on doing what his hands find to do.

Q. What is his work? A. His work is to learn the laws, that forever the growth of the soul in the world he has just entered and to teach it to those who are about him.

Q. Why has not Wayman made more progress? A. Wayman has not been able to accept the situation, his longings & desires have all been toward those he left on your earth. Your father's mind is more mature, and

he comes to us, as an apple perfectly ripe falls from the tree - he is willing to be here and is able to see that his progress toward the highest could not have gone on in his infirm body.

Q. Was Wayman not able to he satisfied with Hatty? A. Yes, he was only contented when she was with him - Now your father's presence is all he desires, and already he is another soul. His soul has come out of its last enthralment and he is another, to our spiritual eyes.

Q. Where is Hatty & is she progressing still? A. She is in my own home, she is not going on now, but resting, and is tender by the throng of innocent children who fill my home with this joy & brightness.

Q. Is Hatty to take your place to the children? A. No, they are to go into what you would call another class - She is to make, when all things are ready, her own surroundings - already there

are come to her bright spirits whom I had never met before and they talk of many things that are not perceptible to me for we are not in the same state concerning them. If there is enough in common between spirits their surrounding, becomes one.

Insight says, the mother is to soon be with us, for it is the function of the understanding to direct the heart and she is to find for awhile a home in our house

Q. Have you seen Auntie? A. I have not seen her since her great feast, but then she was so grand and so beautiful, that I have had her in my thoughts, and that with us brings us always near each other.

Q. Had she grown younger? A. She was as if she had just passed her prime, she has not yet attained her full youth - that will come later, but she was beautiful and so loving to me, because I seemed to bring you with me - When

we met she could see my thought and your message, as you see the face of a friend, and with one look we conveyed to each other, more than you could tell by many words of speach, or many pages of writing xxx I shall not leave my own place again soon, for I am so ignorant, since I have seen Insight that I must give myself up to acquire something that can be called knowledge and that will make me worthy to fill my place well - When I accept Insight as my teacher I only shall do his bidding.

Q. Is there truth in the theory of automatic writing and unconscious cerebration? A. As I see it, it seems to me like smoke or clouds observing the sky - there is no truth in it as far as these writings are concerned, for altho' you all furnish
