connection with its great founder, but it is a purely spiritual one, not a historical one.

Q. Does the act of laying on of hands, have any effect of spiritual grace? A. It depends on the condition of the one who receives the hands of the good men who preceeded him in the faith. Forms have always essential to most of minds, but blessed are they who can receive without the evidences of their senses,.

Q. Was the Virgin without sin from the fact of being the mother of Christ? A. No, that is a belief of these later days, and we have no warrant for any such thing

Q. Was she not more holy than other women? A. She was born into her place in history for that purpose and had passed thro' many experiences fitting her for that holy place

Q. Why do men not hear more of her historically all thro' Christ's ministry? A. Christ, as I, have said, does not

desire to be known and received of men in that way and he has taken pains that nothing should endure of him or of his family.
