squaley brig stering ESE the most part at 4 AM saw
the land and at 11 went on shoar to Fyall saw 8 or 10
sail layin goff and on
Lat at 8 ½ O clock 38° 20 Long by Cro 28 11 West from gren

Remarks On board Brig Leonidas Friday September 17th 1852
The first part strong winds and clear at 1 PM Cp came on board
and at 2 PM come to off Fayall received the custom House officrs
on board &c the last part strong winds and ruff the cp
on shoar and all hands on board Cold not get A shoar &
so ends this long and dismal day of my Poor life
$ 20 This day got A Anchoar and Chain from Shoar

The first part more modrate sent one boat on shoar
and at 3 PM returnd with 2 bushels of potatoes & started one
barrel Beef started Bread &c. at 9 AM the starboard watch
went on shoar sent down main top
gallant yard & so ends this day in port

Remarks On board Sunday 19th of September 1852
All theas 24 hours plesant weathear at 9 AM larboard
watch on shoar 2 men in the port & from
the starboard watch
so ends this long day
