Mix a pint of grated green corn with

half a tea cup of melted butter 1 egg a tea
spoonful of salt and half a tea spoonful
of peper Drop this mixture into hot butter by the
spoonful fry eight or ten minutes [in different handwriting:] when done eat as many as you want

To pickle peaches
1 lb of sugar to 1 qt of vinegar het scalding hot
and poured to the peaches hot three day in sucsesion

Indian griddle Cake
Take 1 pt of indian meal 1 cup of flour a little salt and
ginger a table spoonful of molasses a tea spoonful of saleratus sour milk enough
to make a stiff batter bake them on a griddle like buckwheats

Tea Cake

and salt make a stiff paste and bake in a moderate oven

Boiled Indian Pudding
1 qt sour milk a teaspoonful of sal 1/2 cup or cup molasses a teacup of
chopped suet meal enough to make it stiff

Pudding Sauce
1 pt sugar 1 table spoonful vinegar a piece of butter the size of an
egg boiled 15 minutes 1 table spoonful rose water a little nutmeg
boil with the sugar in nearly a pint of water a large table spoonful
of flour

Ginger Cookies
1 tea cup of sugar 1 molasses 1 egg 1 spoonful sal 1 ginger
1 vinegar 7 cups flour

Hoe Cake
scald 1 qt indian meal to a thick batter 2 spoonful butter
1 teasponfuls salt bake 1/2 hour

Indian Boiled Pudding
1 pt hot milk make a stiff batter teaspoonful salt a little
molasses 1 pt whortleberies or sweet apples tie in a cloth boil 3 hours

Indian Cake
3 cups indian meal 2 cups flour 1/2 a teacup of molasses a little salt
1 tea spoonful sal mix with cold water

Breakfast Cake
1 qt sour milk 1 tea spoonful sal a little salt 1 and 1/2 cups boiled rice
2 spoonfuls molasses or 1/2 cup sugar a little ginger flour
to make a stiff batter
