@ 6 AM Saw a Large School of Sperm Whales
@ 11 took one Long Side of the Triton and the
rest run a Way all well So Ends this Day

this 24 hours Begins with fresh wind and Sone Sea
@ 1 PM those Whales brought two about 4 mild to
Windard Down our two boats & Chased them till 4
Struck one Drawd our Iron the Whales on this ground
is Verey Wild Last Part Small Wind & Calm
Attended with some thunder and several Water
Spouts So Ends this Day all well in Ploid @ Ships Dutey
