In Answer to your Message relative to the Committees, We have appointed The Hon'ble Lewis DeRosset Rich > Spaight & Chalres Berry Enq'res a Committee of this House to State & Settle the Public Acc't And the Hon'ble John Sa?nn John Dawson and Maurice Moore Euz'res a Committee of this House to settle & allow the Public Claims.

The Committee being met at the House of Mr Perrigan Cox Proceeded to make Choice of a Chain man. Mr John Starkey was shown Accordingly & at the same time. Andrew Knox was appointed Clerk to the said Committee.

Ordered that the Clerk set up an Advertisement Requiring all persons that have any Public Claims to attend at the House of Mr Perrigan Cox tomorrow after-Noon and so every day during this Lession, as ??? may Required.

John Webster Sheriff of Hyde County was allowed his Claim of Ten Pounds Proclamation Money as his Salary for the year 1758 he heaving fully accounted with the Treasurer and paid all the Taxes for that year.
Joseph Carrithers Sheriff of Craven County was allowed his Claim of Ten Pounds Proclamation Money, as his Salary for the years 1757. He having fully accoun= =ted with the Treasurer & paid all the Taxes for that year.... 10mm
