In Answer to your Message relative to the Committees, We have appointed The Hon'ble Lewis DeRosset Rich > Spaight & Chalres Berry Enq'res a Committee of this House to State & Settle the Public Acc't And the Hon'ble John Sa?nn John Dawson and Maurice Moore Euz'res a Committee of this House to settle & allow the Public Claims.

The Committee being met at the House of Mr Perrigan Cox Proceeded to make Choice of a Chain man. Mr John Starkey was shown Accordingly & at the same time. Andrew Knox was appointed Clerk to the said Committee.

Ordered that the Clerk set up an Advertisement Requiring all persons that have any Public Claims to attend at the House of Mr Perrigan Cox tomorrow after-Noon and so every day during this Lession, as ??? may Required.

John Webster Sheriff of Hyde County was allowed his Claim of Ten Pounds Proclamation Money as his Salary for the year 1758 he heaving fully accounted with the Treasurer and paid all the Taxes for that year.

Joseph Carrithers Sheriff of Craven County was allowed his Claim of Ten Pounds Proclamation Money, as his Salary for the years 1757. He having fully accoun= =ted with the Treasurer & paid all the Taxes for that year.... 10mm

Thomas Bonner Sheriff of Beaufort County was allowed his Claim of Ten Pounds Proclamation Money as his Salary for the year 1757 He having fully accounted with the Treasurer and paid all the Taxes for that year....10mm

Martin Phiser Commisary for Supplying the Indians with Provisions & was allowed his Claim of Forty Six pounds Eighteen Shillilngs and two pence Proclam money, Including the Claim formerly allowed him, it being the ballance of his account Said before your Committee, for Provisions by him found, and money Advanced for Provisions for the Indians going to, and returning from the War,, After Deductin the Monied in his hands arriving from the Sale of Tools brought from the Cataooba Mahon..46.18.9

Mr. William Willilams was allowed Two Shillings and eight pence Proclamation Money for Twenty Shillings Old Bills Delivered into your Committee Or. 2"8

Timothy Clear was allowed Two pounds Nine Shillings proclam. Money for Twenty one days hire of A horse, impress'd from him on and Express from New Bern to Brunswick...2"9"0

Thomas Robinson Produced a Claim to your Committee of fifteen pounds for a Horse impressed from him by Frederick Gregg and John Du Bois Esas'w of Wilmington for an Express going on his Majesties Service to the Northward, which Horse not being returned Your Committee Submit it to the House if the same be allowed...15"-"-

Agreed to by this House but Resolved that his Practice of impressing Horses by persons sent on presses is illegal and that for this future no claim of that sort be allowed by the Juolie???

Doctor Andrew Scott was allowed four pounds proclamation Money for his trouble and Experience in Castrating & Nursing, a Negro man named Will the Property of Roxalena Martin in pursuance of an Order of a Court held at New Bern for Tryal of said Negro on the 27th day of July 1750....4"-"-

Thomas Allison was allowed his Claim of two pounds five Shillings Procl/a Money for a Steer for the Cataurba Indians in May 1759...2"5"0
