I have just this moment received your letter and it is so delightful that I will answer it at once.

I have just come up from having my picture taken if they are good - do you want one? - you shall have the best. But it must be an exchange. Too bad I'm so conditional, isn't it? But I can't let you escape

By the way, if any of those photos happen to be left around the house, that I had taken in Biltmore or Asheville, you will oblige me more than I can tell if you will [?????] them. I was looking at the only one I had left, several months ago and it is horrible.

A person naturally wants something that will flatter him, but that does quite the opposite, (excuse my modesty).

I jumped on the scale when I was down town, and am within a pound and a half of my former weight.

Though even that is several pounds below what it was when I was a well trained athlete this time last year and when we were out Civil Engineering.

you that my little sister came home last Autumn. She has been going to the Normal School over there, ever since.

They all want me to come home again, so I'm going. Father wrote me a few days ago saying he would give me a position in the bank, he is very anxious for me to learn the business thoroughly so that I can take it up when he retires. Even though it is inside work, the hours are not

bad; so that I can get out with the horses, play tennis etc. and get back in my former condition again.

Besidezs I will be able to leave the office occastionally, round up time for instance, and also to go up to the mines once in a while, which hyou see is continuing business with pleasure.

Wild life has a fascinationfor me which I will never out line, riding a bucky horse after a bunch of range cattle in teh mountains, is more fun than work, I think.
