Dear Homefolks: Will write you a letter to answer the ones I have received in the last few days. I also got letters from Grace B. and grandma. Of course I was glad to get all of them for I feel that you all think of me. I know you could not be any glader to get a letter than I do. For you

(2) know I am with strangers more or less, but still I have a good time. You seem to be right smartly concerned about my height, I don't know exactly what my height is, but I think I have stretched up some. While I was in training I had to stand and walk straight. The training was hard but [begin crossed out text] I think [end crossed out text] it did me good. I received the papers, but have never got
