8/ Discipline must prevail over a man's
soul to keep it devoted to right ideas; over
his mind to make it attend to the matter
in hand; over his body to make it serve
his mind and spirit.
9. Military Discipline adjusts a man to a life

10. Don't think you lose your will power by
submitting to proper authority; you merely
educate it. You can't command a man
until you understand how to obey. You have
to learn what obedience is before you know
whether a man is giving it to you
or not.
11. The Drill Regulations so far as you are concerned
are a measure of your self control.
Can you have them, and do exactly what
they say? If you can you are disciplined
in drill.
