Dear Sir
Of all the complaints made to the Society, none are so persistent, and have their foundation as deep seated in cruelty, as those against the [Belt Line?] of [Railroad?]. The Press, private citizens, and the officers of the institution, have vainly remonstrated with the proprietors & Superintendent, but all to no purpose. It would make your heart sick [s?]tand anywhere along the route of the Line, and [illegible] the poor beasts, which heartless [illegible]
