Mrs. Catherine Scott 208 Union Neptune, New Jersey

Dear Mrs. Scott,

Thank you for your letter of June 30th. Yes Stell has gone off to Maine, but I'm sending the list you asked for. Perhaps you could return it to us whenever you are finished with it. Should memberships come in from the names on your list, we will be able to tell the source they came from.

It occurred to me that it might be worthwhile to enclose a membership blank with each of the animal reports. If you think it a good idea, I'll be glad to mail 100 blanks to you.

Thank you for all the help you've given us. I hope you're feeling better now.

With kind regards, I am

Sincerely yours,

Edith Hoisler

Mr. Catherine Scott 208 Union Neptune, New Jersey

Dear Catherine,

Thank you for your letter of June 26th. Just to make sure we each know what the other is doing, I assume that you have written and sent an annual report to each of the people marked with the red "lb." When the next Information Report comes out, we will send it and an application blank along to these people and see what happens. Perhaps we had better let the other 400 wait until we see the result of this effort. Under separate cover I have sent you 100 copies of the Information [crossed out] Annual Report to send to these people.

Any time Edith wants to leave here she can get a job at the post office. I have never seen such wrapping and mailing lately!

I am off for Maine this weekend, but will make sure Christine sees this correspondence when she gets back to town on Tuesday.

With kind personal regards, and hoping that you fully recover your health this summer, I am

Sincerely yours,

Dear Catherine-

Please excuse this rough typing; I'm doing it myself. Regarding the soliciting new members, maybe a combination of the two ideas would be a good thing. That is, if you would send the annual report to them with a covering letter, we could then follow up a couple of weeks later with an Inf. Report Note or and the application blank. That way they'd be approached twice. And some people would pay more attnetion to a letter from you (in which you might perhaps be more laudatory than we could be ourselves!) than they would to a letter from an organisation. So let's do it that way, if you agree. You send us the list of names and addresses, and we'll know you have already written them a brief not and sent the annual report.

I never saw an eraser like that; I shall pass it along to Edith and see how she likes it.

Hope you're much better, fast. As I may have told you, Christine is away until July 5. I am taking off myself, next week, to be gone all of July and August and can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to a Maine summer.

With kindest personal regards,

Sincerely,
