To night [WORDS UNDERLINED] August 6, 1897,
completed the 25 anniversary
of Sorosis ___ not its silver [WORD UNDERLINED]
wedding [WORD UNDERLINED] ___but its silver
quarter [WORD UNDERLINED]of a century.

"Shakespear says! "Look upon
this [WORD UNDERLINED] picture then on this [WORD UNDERLINED]."

To turn the mirror of
history so far upon the
past___so near the stormy
middle of the century,
exhibits a dark back ground
upon which Sorosis
stands out in bas relief.

Those of us no longer young,
