Tillaea simplex rediscovered by Mrs. W. F. Robinson of
Elizabeth, N.Y. about August 20 1894 East shore of Hummock
Pond, not far from the southern limit of the pines;
a patch of about three or four square yards covered thickly
with the plants. The bright green sod which they make looks
so much like a bed of the small form of Myriophyllum
ambiguum which roots in the mud, that it might easily
be passed without notice by a collector not famliar with
the appearance of Tillaea. M.L.O
