25th 6 mo The weather of late has been remarkably cold & uncomfortable. The wind has prevailed easterly and so cold that the fires have been kept up to warm the peoples by, frequent showers with some Thunder and lightening. It is thought by some of the oldest people, that there was so long and so cold a spell at this season of the year.

17th Wind SW rained much in the evening
18th Washed sheep. Wind NE very warm
19th First day, very warm. Thermometer 84
20th Cold & wet, Wind SE. No shearing Thermometer 45
21st Cold & rainy. Wind SE No shearing
22nd Sheared the eastern flock, very cold. Some of them died being confined so long. Sheep very poor
23rd Sheared the western flock,wing easterly & very cold
24 Cold Easterly wind very cold,m Drizzling rain
25 The weather same as yesterday, afternoon much rain
26 The wind continues easterly & cloudy, but not [???]
27 Wind Easterly, cold & wet, frequent drizzling rain
28 Wind NW something foggy, but pleasant
29 The wind is again easterly, but warm and pleasant
30 Wind southerly. Fine growing weather. Vegetation very backward, the gardens almost ceased growing up to 27th 6mo
1st 7 mo Small wind at West [???], the sun shone but did not make a shade.
2nd Thick foggy weather. The appearance of the Sun denotes a dry season. It appears perfectly round and plain to look upon, but makes no shade.
3.7 Thick smokey weather. Wind southerly & warm
4. Foggy, thick & warm. Wind SW
5. A continuation of warm thick foggy weather

26th 6 mo 1836 B. B. Thacher of Boston delivered a lecture on Temperance in Friends Mtg. House on Main Street. An uncommon large assembly attended.
