Dear Mr. Carpenter:
Thank you for your letter to Mr. Ryan concerning his proposed book about D-Day.
Mr. Ryan hopes to interview many of the people who offer to help us with the book.
These interviews will very probably be conducted during the late spring and early
summer of this year. However, in the meantime, since we are finding this to be a
huge project, we are keeping an individual file on each person who answers our
plea for information. We wonder, therefore, if you would be willing to complete
the enclosed record and return it to me at your earliest convenience.
We are very grateful for your interest in the project, and we look forward to
hearing your story of D-Day. Thank you again for your help.
