Dear [crossed out] Madam [end crossed out][inserted] Miss Isaacs [end inserted],

I have completed the enclosed
questionnaire and have allayed sending it sooner as
I am not certain of my position with regard
to the Official Secrets Act particularly as I am
still a serving member of the R.N.V.R.. I have tried
to make enquiries but have not been very successful.
However, I presume that both you and the author
will have a greater knowledge of these matters than
I have myself and will not publish anything that
might put me in jeopardy. I am in fact a little
concerned in case what I have stated in the enclosed
questionnaire could be construed as an offence. As
I am anxious that what information I can give
the author should not be further allayed I am
sending off the questionnaire without making further
enquiries and trust that you will guide me if it
appears that I have offended
Incidentally I have met another man
who informed me that he did a most unusual job
on D-Day as I have not his permission to disclose
his name I am afraid I cannot do so. He is however
interested in your project and I will prevail upon
him to write to you as soon as possible.
Yours sincerely,
P.E. Cullum
