In the I Vol. of the Mem. of the Am. Academy of Arts and
Sciences, was published a botanical paper wh.
you have probably seen. This was
much too hastly a production, when I had
only [jst?] began to enter on that branch of
Science. Since that time, more liesure [illegible]
observation has enabled me to correct many
errors in that paper. I now have it in
contemplated to publish a work of conside-
rable magnitude on the natural Productn.
