My Dear Sir,
You have highly gratified me by sending the box of
S. India seeds--Every attention shall be given them in my
power. By this opportunity I forward you one of my
Botanical paper for the French Things Botanist at
Port au Prince, and you will much increase my obligations
[crossed out] to you [end crossed out] for past favors by opening a channel
by which I may [crossed out] receive [end crossed out] haven't in my power to make a
[tryal?] of East India Plants, or any others exotics. [crossed out] I sent
you instead a copy of my botanical paper for Mr.
[?Nath?] Letters or pages from him which [end crossed out] please
to present my most respectful complaint
to Mr. [?Nath?] inform him of Letters and packages adressed
to Hon. Thos. Russel Esqr. in Burton will be
forwarded to me immediately.

I have been honored with a very [illegible]
letter from Mr. Cheuiliar Marry, with a present of some
of his later publications. He desires his compliments
very particularly to you, is in this County, but [illegible]
you are in London--The package wasvery obligatory
forwarded to me by Sir Joseph Banks--Dr. Frank
has also favd me with an extract from a Letter to
receive from M. Le [Roi?]
