Dear Mrs. Dixon:

It has been my intentions for many
weeks to write this letter, but many delays
have occured which have put off my letter
writing. I want to thank you and
the Oshawa Women's Air Force Aux. for
so kindly remembering me at Xmas.
Your parcel reached me just in time
from Christmas Day and was certainly
most acceptable.

Since that time a birthday card
has also arrived for which I send more
thanks. It is certainly grand of your
society to remember the lads who are
away from home. I assure you
that I appreciate your kindnesses and
do hope that I am forgiven for my lateness.

Dear Ladies-

I'm writing this letter
in Belgium and I think you
understand what that means.

Lots of rain, mud and fighting.
It sounds bad but it could
be alot worse. Just think how
tough it would be if the boys
over here decide how swell
people like you back home
thinking of us and sending us parcels
and comforts.

I should have thanked
you weeks ago but at the time
the first parcel came I was
