A good day. Ben cut Kate_s wheat to day. Josie staid at home and worked hard all day. To night she is very much complaining with her mouth and jaw hurting. Paul Bennett carried Nettie Blair and I to Mr Jess W[orsham] pond. We did not catch anything. I bough a fish that a col woman caught. It was a fine one. We come back a bout twelve. I stoped at Mr W Woodings and Bookers tryed to get grated pine apple. Could not get it. Ben tonight is at Powers.
