Thursday, July 17, 1919

A rainy day. We could
not get any water out of the
spring that would do to use until
nearly night. The men folks
cant do anything in the crop.

Ben went to Mr Dews to
play croquet. It rained so
hard that they had to quit.

We had fried chicken for
dinner. Did not try to get vegetables.

Josie sowed some. Made Henry
a shirt. Nellie worked some
button holes in Franklins
clothes. Henry & Edna went
to George Blairs this evening.
They are trying to learn to
recite some pieces.
