all, Reason to be continual in expressions of Grati-
tude to Heaven for the indulgence of a Bosom Friend!
tis this which Constitutes my Happiness with respect
to Temporal Concerns -- While I am thus Happy
ought I to suffer too much Anxiety from a Fear of veing
depriv'd ^of^ either or all the comfort I enjoy? you
have gone through the [begin underline] various [end underline] Scenes of Life, have
seen Prosperity & adversity; and can recommend to me
from your own Experience a firm Trust in the
all wise disposer of [begin underline] all [end underline] Events) Found all in Health
and pleas'd at our Return -- Mr. W^m^ Phillips Jun the
young gentleman who was lately taken the Tour of
Europe, spent the Sabbath at my Father's & gave us the
Pleasure of his Company in the Evening -- I think
him much improv'd by Travel, altho' he is not
[?]pres'd with those shining accomplishments
which Constitute the finish'd Gentleman --
Hope soon to hear of y^r^ leaving off your clokes
that ere long we shall rejoice together in this little
Mansion -- where altho Pomp & Splendor are unknown
