My dear mother
We had a very hot and on the whole
rather a stupid decoration day I think. There was not
much to do if you staid in town and I could not leave.
We are going to try to get permission to go to Exeter
next Saturday to see the game between our nine and
the Exeter club. There was a hard thunderstorm
yesterday in which professor Thayer's house was
struck but the inmates were not injured.
I have not taken quinine for some time and think that
I no longer need it. Three weeks from today if all goes
well thee and Anna will be here with me. I feel well. W.W.S.
