Senior Constable Denis Keane E 11 reports to his Sub Inspector that his Son Patrick John Keane, had been bitten by a Death Adder at about 1.30 P.M. on the 24th ultimo. His age was five years and ten months old. He had his dinner on this date with his Mother and Self, and he was in the best of good health when he left the house, and in ten minuits [sic] after leaving the house, he was brought in nearly dead, and he died in a few minuits [sic] afterwards; he was bitten on the left foot, at the Ankle &c on the right leg near the Knee. It was not half an hour from the time he left hom [sic] until he was dead. He was bitten about a hundred yards from the house, and the Senior Constable had the Pleasure of Seeing the Adder Killed
