The bearer of this Edward Martin has asked us for a line to you to testify to his fitness for the Mounted Police. -

We can recommend him as a first rate rough rider and to the best of our knowledge as truth-ful and honest. - We part wih him simply because we intend to turn out our entire horse[?] and do not longer require anyone to look after him. -
