Sir We have the honor to recommend that the following gentlemen messrs E. R. Edkins - Mr. Hertzer & W. D'arcy Uhr whose names are in full in the margin be put on the commission of the peace _ Further we recommend that in consequence of people having to ride more than a hundred miles from most places in the district in order merely to make a declaration before a Magistrate – that one of us may be authorised by a writ Dedimus Potestatem to swear in these gentlemen should they be appointed justices of the peace We have the honor to be Sir Your most obedient Servants W.
