5 The town of Cooktown is 10 much the same quiet and 15 orderly numbers of dissappointed diggers 20 are leaving by "Ashley" "Leichardt" 25 and "Florence "Irving" monthly Sick 30 and disheartened "Ashley" takes between 35 four thousand (4000) and five thousand (5000) 40 ounces Gold large numbers of 45 returned diggers on the road 50 but not a very large 55 number remains in Cooktown road 60 over Normanby range now
