I beg to inform you that, as the Ordinance Department here, has a larger quantity of Martini Henry Ball Ammunition than is deemed necessary, it has been decided to dispose of a portion of same.
I have therefore been requested by my collegue, the Honorable the Minister of Defence, to state that, should your Government wish to

to purchase any such ammunition, he will be prepared to deliver the same to you at the price charged by the War Office, viz :- 78s / 6d per 1000 rounds : thus saving your Government the cost of freight and other importing expenses from London.
