I beg to inform you that, as the Ordinance Department here, has a larger quantity of Martini Henry Ball Ammunition than is deemed necessary, it has been decided to dispose of a portion of same.

I have therefore been requested by my collegue, the Honorable the Minister of Defence, to state that, should your Government wish to

In view of the fact that a new rifle is about to be adopted by the imperial Govt. (including change of ammtn.) I do not recommend the purchase of any M.H. Ammtn. at present.
