Sir, I beg to apply to you for the Vacancy of a Warder at St. Helena. I hope it will not prejudice my case, by me stating, _ thatI have served under the flag of England, the[?] following places viz. The Crimea, India, China and New Zealand, for which I received War decorations, granted by Her gracious Majesty the Queen. In the above wars mentioned, I have had all Victories, - No defeats, with the Exception of leaving one member of mine in New Zealand, - and in saving the life of the late Genl. Windhome
