In Coy. with Dr Langridge I made tour inspection amongst Chinese & blacks doctor Reports to me as follows found one black fellow suffering to best of my belief from leprosy also heard of similar cases in vicinity but could not find them - Inspected a Chinaman reported to be suffering unable to say whether he is suffering from syphilis or

leprosy or from both his appearance shews marked signs of syphilis but summing up Evidence for & against each disease I think the probability in favor of leprosy - In company with Doctor I have inspected a number of blacks but only found the above case amongst them blacks here of a wild and timid nature and difficult to get at
