Sir Observing in the Herberton paper of 17th. inst. asking for suitable quarters for Police in the Barron Scrub. I have the honor to submit that I have a Paddock of about 30 acres as good natural grass as their [sic] is in the district in the middle of the scrub about 2 miles from Mazlin's Creek & within a 1/4 of a mile from a 7 mile pocket called Zegeimbine's, where always abundance of grass & water. My selection is situated within 4 miles from Atherton & Martintown. The improvements consist of House & Kitchen, yards & loose-box frame for stables, which I am agreeable to cover, also well within troughs. I would be glad to take a very moderate rent, say £ 25 per annum In consideration of having the much needed protection from the blacks for our family alongside.
