I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 25^th ultimo, intimating that Messrs.

The Commandant N.M. Police Rockhampton

Messrs. Everett and Galbraith decline to take up their appointments as Cadets in the Native Police and recommending Messrs Beevor and Richardson in their places. In reply, I am directed to inform you that your nominations are approved and that Messrs Beevor and Richardson will be directed to report themselves at Head Quarters without delay. The appointments of these gentlemen will be notified in the next issue of the Government Gazette.
