I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your

Lt. J. Murray N.M. Police Rockhampton

your letter of the 23^rd ultimo intimating that some arrangements have been made to relieve you from the command of the 2^nd Division of Native Police and requesting that such may be effected to enable you to remove your family to the Port Curtis District. In reply I am to inform you that the Commandant has been communicated with on the subject by the present Mail, and directed to despatch an officer to assume the Command of the Division and to take over the stores in your charge.
