Sir

I am directed to acknowledge the receipt of your letter, dated the 15^th instant, requesting to be informed when the Compensation money payable to Troopers in the Native Police Force in lieu of clothing will be paid to their credit.

In reply I have to inform you that the communication for clothing, payable for portion of the last year, will be given on receipt of the proper abstracts by the Secretary to the Police Department.
