Sir,
I am directed to acknowledge the receipt of your letter dated the 22nd Ultimo, covering and submitting to favorable consideration an application from Lieutenant Moorhead that the expense of Medical attendance upon him while suffering from a severe fall from his horse while on duty may be paid out of Public Funds.
In reply I have to inform you that the matter having been brought under the notice of His Excellency The Governor in Council, the council are ready to relieve Lieutenant Moorhead of a portion of the expense incurred, and they have accordingly directed the payment of Ten Pounds to that officer
