of Kingston was held this day to Consider general business

A Communication from James Wilson Esquire Manager
of Water Works Company was enclosing a/c and requesting
payment of same. Referred to the Finance Committee
A Communication from Macdonnell & Mudie was read
claiming damages on behalf of one William Ferguson
Harrington for injuries alledged to be sustained. Referred
to the Committee on Streets
A Communication from Messrs. Walkem and Walkem
was read Re flooding of Mrs McGills cellar. Referred to the
Committee on Streets
A Memorial from the City of Kingston Gas Light Company
was read asking the Council to pass a By Law to Consent to the
Company supplying Gas for heating cooking
Rules for checking the spread of Contagious or infectious
diseases were submitted and referred to the Local Board of
Health
Ald. Carson brought up the petition of William R. Follest
for the position of Chimney Viewer. Referred to the Committee
on Fire Water and Gas
Ald. Eilbeck brought up the petiiton of Mary Sullivan
respecting Taxes - Referred to the Court of Revision
A Communication from Messrs. McKay & Wood was
read respecting Taxes and referred to the Court of
Revision
Ald. Harty brought up the petition of John
McDonald and others praying for a drain from Gore
along Wellington to Union street - Referred to the Committee
on Streets.

Ald. Redden from the Committee on Finance and
accounts brought up a Report (Number 433 Book E.)
which was read and adopted
The Chairman from the Committee on Streets
brought up a Report (Number 434 Book E.) which
was read
Ald. Thompson moves seconded by Ald. Robinson
That the report of the Committee on Streets
be received and adopted
