On motion of Ald. Eilbeck seconded by Ald. Thompson
Ordered, That the report of the Chief of the Fire
Brigade be referred to the Committee on Fire, Water and Gas
with power to act on all matters therein mentioned requiring
immediate action.

Ald: Gildersleeve introduced a By Law to appoint
two trustees to fill the vacancies at the City of Kingston Collegiate
Institute Board which was read a first time

The 30th Rule of Council was suspended as to the
readings of this By Law.
The Council went into Committee of the whole
on the second reading
Ald. Drennan in the Chair
The Council Resumed
The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the
second reading of the By Law clause by clause. The
Report was received.
The By Law was read a third time and
passed.

Ald Bermingham gives notice that he will introduce
a By Law to provide for the watering of the following named
streets and portions of streets, the expense for said watering to
be met by levying a special rate per foot frontage on the property
fronting on said streets or portion of streets -
Ontario Street from Queen to Johnson
King Street from Queen to Barrie
Wellington Street from Queen to West
Bagot Street from Queen to West
Clergy Street from Queen to Barrie
