day telling me to come down on Saturday,
one from Crockett asking me to tea on
Sunday, & one from C. Dick giving me
a full-length account of the performance of
Trilby.

I hope nothing in my letter kept you
& Anna from coming yesterday. You would
get Aunt Aggie's letter last night explaining
things. I was down at the 4 & 6 trains
last night meeting you, but no one came.
I am getting through a good deal of work,
& have almost finished an article for
the Herald. Yesterday afternoon I went a
walk to Tweed and bathed in a fine deep
